When just starting out with using Gems and Crystals for their more esoteric purposes, it's good to follow your instinct and not over focus on what any person, book, or website has to say about it. We find that when people go by their intuitive feelings and natural instinct, they usually find exactly the right stone or crystal for their needs. There is a lot of infomation on-line that you can cross reference with your own experiences, to determine for yourself the power of a stone. Whatever your beliefs try not to throw the crystals out with the mythical and mystical tales wrapped around them. They are still here, a part of the celestial earth body, formed out of the same forces and materials as we are, and they have great lessons to teach us about ourselves and the universe!
